liv (olivia rose phipps) is a painter/illustrator/designer living in the colorado mountains. she is a mother, partner, and chocolate-chip-pancake maker. she appreciates whimsical childrens' books and a really frothy cup of matcha.
she got her MA in mental health counseling & expressive arts therapy from appalachian state university. she also studied child development in nature, both at the university of washington (seattle) and dronning mauds minne høgskole in trondheim, norway.
while working in the human development & education world, liv took painting classes and a course in children's book illustration. her formal training includes a handful of college-level painting & ceramic courses. she currently works in higher education but continues to paint food & flowers, illustrate forest creatures, and sew magical birthday crowns.
